The pounds have crept up over the years. A few each year and clothes are hugging all the wrong curves. Eating habits need a makeover and you haven’t done a sit up or push up in who knows how long. I didn’t really understand portion size and thought that cardio was all I needed to lose weight, but I didn’t like running or climbing stairs. Dancing was super fun, but I would drive right on by the Zumba classes on my way home (now I barely drive anywhere - it’s got to all be done at home.)

I was winded playing outside with my son after just a minute. I may have been still fairly “slender”, but I wasn’t in shape and was a hot mess in the kitchen.

That’s when…

…I found Beachbody. I joined a friend’s challenge group and lost 12 lbs by following Beachbody’s nutrition plan and workout programs. I learned it’s not just about losing weight, but also flexibility, strength, and endurance. I learned about portion sizes and control. I tried new recipes that were quick and easy (one-pan meals, y’all!) I have been on a healthy path for almost 8 years. I now run my own online challenge groups helping others find a program they like from the huge On Demand library and nutrition they can follow (there’s even a cooking channel!).
